Life Skills Training

NLA understands that youth transitions are not easy, but if provided with life skills these transitions won’t be as difficult. Life skills are a group of interpersonal skills and psychosocial competencies that assist people in making informed decisions.

NLA also understands that the following are very important in youth transitions and decision making; creative and critical thinking, problem solving, communication, empathy, self-awareness, coping with stress and interpersonal skills.

NLA has broken down the dynamics of life skills for the participants to fully understand why these skills are important. These basic skills will allow the participants to become self aware of themselves as well as others.
